Porto; Postcards from Portugal 5/7, 2022. An original ink illustration.
 
November 2022. After learning to surf in Baleal, I stayed some time in Matosinhos, just outside Porto. I took the metro over to Porto a few times to go wander around with a camera in hand - the first time it was raining cats and dogs and cows, but the second time around I actually got to walk around dry. This Portugal trip was the first time I was truly traveling alone for a longer time, with plans changing and taking shape along the way - and I never suspected I'd love traveling on my own so much! It felt like freedom to sort of  aimlessly wander around the streets, taking my time taking in all the details (and taking countless pictures of the buildings..) I will forever be obsessed with all the pretty tiles, colourful houses, the balconies, big windows and high doorways.
